As Sally's mother, I'm so very proud of my brave outspoken daughter, trying to do the right thing in a harsh unfeeling world.

I'm thankful for Sally and for people like her who are willing to fight against the death penalty, something that regardless of guilt or innocence has no place in a civilized society. This is not a popular stance, particularly in Texas and it takes courage and commitment to speak out and to work as tirelessly as she and others have. As a friend of many years I am also very proud of her and all her efforts.

I really enjoyed this interview. To acknowledge this information can transform our role in the judicial system by asking us to play a part in making change. Our limitations should not have the ability to end a life and we should not support the system that does. It is too fallible and we are too fallible.
